FIL fund is a multi-section closed-end real estate fund reserved to qualified investors. The main investors in the FIL fund are Regione Lombardia, Fondazione Cariplo and Fondo Investimenti per l’Abitare, managed by CDP Investimenti SGR S.p.A.
The primary aim of the Fund is to respond to the housing shortage in the Lombardy region by increasing the supply of social housing, combining economic returns with social objectives for institutional investors interested in achieving ethical goals.
As of today FIL-Comparto Due, one of the two sub-fund of the FIL Umbrella Fund established in 2012 with a duration of 30 years, has invested in two student housing facilities for a total of 132 apartments and 363 beds.
The Fund’s Technical Adviser is Fondazione Housing Sociale. Habitare Services Srl and Cooperativa La Ringhiera respectively manage the apartments destined to social housing and the student accommodation facilities.
